    I am glad to report that we survived the night, despite the sultry heat and the scary snails. I had half expected to awake covered in a white sheet of snail, but only three had made it into Red. Mind you, they had made a concerted effort to ascend via the tyres.

    ... we stayed at had free and generally fast wifi.

    We we drove through Slovenia to Italy and arrived in Trieste around 1.00 this afternoon. We found our hotel for the night, parked the car and then went exploring. We caught the hop on hop off bus which gave us a great tour of the city and also some history. There are some very old buildings with great architecture and lots of detail on them.

    ... chamber which was cool. This castle was a prime medieval castle built solely as a barracks. Very cool. We then did the underground cave tour of the castle which was very cool. Only helmets with torches to navigate around and some cool history to tell. We had to wait for a late bus at 9pm so had a feed and a few beers at a pizzeria near the bus station. Now sitting on the bus busting for a **** with over an hour left on the trip.. Not a bad ...

    ... is a very touristic town and we were heavily outnumbered by many Italians on vacation. Last night Jason stayed at the hostel to get some work done while Erenna and I headed to the beach, which was only a two minute walk from the hostel. We found two very comfortable chairs on a dock and jumped into the water for a quick swim. The water was really refreshing and clear.
