... boats - huge and more like small ships than boats. I did think that the fun fair that was along the waterfront was a little tacky and un-Monagesque! However the palace is still the same and we were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard which was a bit of pomp and ceremony. It's 4pm now and we are back on board having a quick rest before caviar and champers at 6pm followed by dinner and dancing! I can't stand all this ...

In 1297 the Grimaldi family seized Monte Carlo and have ruled ever since. The principality of Monaco covers 473 acres and would fit inside NY Central Park. The Grimaldi family made their money from gambling, but the whole world watched as Hollywood's Grace Kelly wed Prince Rainer ruler of Monaco.

Monaco because of its favorable tax system makes it one of the most sought after addresses in the world.

... as I've already been uncomfortable when the sea was calm, I was not too thrilled to get up for work in the morning. I tried distracting myself the best I could, making pancakes dancing and singing around the galley. Then the 15-18ft waves started. I put out lunch as quickly as possible and to bed I went. We spent about 45 minutes finishing dinner in the late afternoon and called it quits. I survived somehow, and we shouldn't experience weather ...

I can't even explain how clean the campsite bathrooms were. The guy cleaning them was in there for hours scrubbing every inch of the place. You could probably have eaten off the toilet seat, that's how amazingly clean they were! The cleaner was really lovely as well. He helped me out when I couldn't plug my hair dryer in. I didn't realise that Switzerland used different power outlets to the rest of Europe, they're very similar though so I didn't ...
