Next visit was to a demonstration of making the Turkish carpets, some made of wool, others of silk. One lady demonstrated the art with the silk, doing 645 knots on the warp strands per square inch.     ... and the atmosphere was really nice. There were some amazing glass sculptures at various locations around the island as well. After a cappuccino, I bought a couple of Murano necklaces and some earrings. I also bought a set for mum. We then found a shop that sold "Pandora compatible" Murano charms and Stephen bought me one of those as well plus an Eiffel Tower charm to add to my growing Pandora souvenir bracelet.     ... For the convenience of being so close to the People Mover, a mono rail that will take us across to the port, it was worth the few quid extra.

    Alighting after the 25 minute bus journey from the airport we knew exactly which direction to go as we headed for the Ponte Calatrava. Roisin reminded me of our first visit to Venice and being completely disorientated when arriving at Piazzala Roma not knowing which way to turn.

    ... boat, it's a people mover" All forms of public transportation supplied by ACTV are included, including buses, so I figured this was too. Nope, That sealed the deal. We had read a suggestion that a fellow cruiser made, ie, taxi from Pl Roma to the terminal. It may have been only a 5 minute ride, but again, it looked as if it could save our marriage.
