Today we began with an early-'ish' morning as we headed off to the train station. We were going to Bassano. When we got to the train station we got a little croissant for breakfast and then hoped onto our train. After about an hour and a bit, we arrived in Bassano. It is said that the bridges name was inspired two things – the sighs of condemned prisoners as they cross it to jail or execution, and the sighs of eternal love made by people kissing under the bridge at sunset while in a gondola.

... friends from SF. The boys' soccer teammates were coming- their parents are from Italy, have a house on the area and were visiting, and agreed to meet us for the day? We were so excited! The called when they arrived and he says "ok we just parked in the main lot, see it on the map? Then there is a bridge and a canal and we are right there!" Uh ok, a bridge, a canal... Right, helpful! But no worries, he seemed to know exactly where we were coming from, and there they were! I could ...
