On a much happier note, I turned 33 on Saturday, so Mike took Piper and I into Venice on Friday afternoon. We took the train in and stayed at a very nice hotel where Piper ...

... hotel. We thought this was a bit odd. After the world’s longest check in (45 minutes), we were soon going up to our room. When we reached our room, we understood why they didn’t have a reception desk.
