      ... brought out the one order of gnocchi we ordered and planned to share. It was in a regular ceramic shallow bowl with a piece of foil over the top and steam coming out from under it. She told us just to bring back the bowl later. I just love that the answer to the crazy Americans who wanted food to go in Italy was to give us the plate to bring back later.       We were up extra early today for the four hour drive to Venice. Rozanne and her family picked us up in their two cars and we headed off. About halfway we stopped for breakfast and for the drivers to revive with a coffee. We stopped at a petrol station like nothing I've ever seen.
