... Trust me, it's pretty scary. I learned later that this earthquake set most of the city ablaze and to stop the spread of the fire, they dynamited Van Ness (a large avenue through town). 'MURICA. From here, we hopped on the bus, travelling in sun-basked style from Golden Gate Park, through Haight-Ashbury (lots of hippies), City Hall (lots of suits), Tenderloin (lots of crack addicts), Union Square (lots ...

... that we might have received a little too much warmth in the form of solar radiation ...

Had ...

Luckily the cab driver knew what dad was on about: he was holding back laughter until we started s******ing in the back seat and he driver had to join in. I had a bagel with cream cheese - the second bagel I've had here. I'm not sure what thes hype is all about with bagels, they're 'enjoyable' all the same but nothing beats Australian fresh bread. Dad had a glazed doughnut ...

... town - a western styled strip of shops and bars. The evening saw us head off to the 'Rustlers Roost' an optional extra at a western style ranch complete with slippery slide entrance! A great night was had fuelled by the included booze - the food was also good and some of the tour members (not us) participated in some boot scooting lessons by tour director Ken! Day 3 on tour was one of the highlights as we came into red rock country where the views and ...
