... Joe's was an amazing art gallery and I fell in love with some of the pieces there. If only I had several tens of thousands of USD I could have bought something! Now it was time to try and get back to Powell Street on the cable car. Trying to find our way back we thought we would hop on to an electric bus (using our muni pass so as to gratify my need for value) to get us to a cable car stop where I would be able to get my Go-Pro footage. We JUST missed the first bus and watched ...

... So today, up early, 07:30 because we need to be at Fishermans Wharf to catch the 10:00 ferry to Alcatraz. We need to walk, catch a street car and walk again. My feet are driving me crazy so I need plenty of time. Should be a great day today. Temperature expected to be sunny and 16 degrees. Had bought breakfast supplies last night from Walgreens so had a yoghurt and muesli parfait and headed off to Market Street to catch the F Line to Pier 33. Arrive with plenty ...

Had to buy a sweater as I was really Cold and couldn't stop shivering. We kind of ran out of things to do so decided to go to a ...

... forcing down our heavy meal we headed of to start our tourist duties for the day. As is our way in a new city we headed straight for the hop on hop off tourist bus service. We find this really is the best way to see a city when you have limited time. These tickets have the added advantage in that they also include in the price a boat trip to Alcatraz and various other freebies. The tour is actually pretty good and covered most of the highlights that we wanted to see. ...

... I had entered ‘Little Italy’, as every restaurant including my hotel was Italian. Being late in the afternoon, I was hungry and tired, so I headed to the fisherman Pier. I grabbed something to eat and had a little stroll, which I loved. I think mum would have loved it here, and it’s such a contrast to NYC; so laid back and as I know I’m going to enjoy the slower pace, it will be a nice way to relax before the horrible flight to ...
