Went for a walk to the old part of Orcet this morning, lots of narrow winding streets no wider than a small car, really quirky with a large church in the centre. Took the dogs for a walk down some leafy lanes, quote a nice stopover and the sunshine certainly helps. We hit Spain tomorrow as we continue South

Tonight we sampled the on site restaurant- si had a steak (looked like horse) and I had chicken- it was really nice and not doing dishes was even better! After a walk through town we were back in the car, driving through farm land, narrowly avoiding tractors whizzing around corners, and a header climbing over a patch of grass to turn a corner down the hill. First we had to negotiate ourselves out of the car park and into the Aires car park, which we did with much miming and sign language, our French not being as good as our poor German. Clermont-Ferrand, we discovered, is Michelin tyre city. The head office and an enormous factory were situated just next to our camp spot.
