... Ferrand without any U turns, just need to get her behind the wheel next ��

Went for a walk to the old part of Orcet this morning, lots of narrow winding streets no wider than a small car, really quirky with a large church in the centre. Took the dogs for a walk down some leafy lanes, quote a nice stopover and the sunshine certainly helps. We hit Spain tomorrow as we continue South

Next stop Capmany in Spain, 315 miles. More to follow ...

... grass pitches! We had a few cheeky San Migels before hitting the pool to cool off. Tonight we sampled the on site restaurant- si had a steak (looked like horse) and I had chicken- it was really nice and not doing dishes was even better! I washed it all down with a €1.20 glass of rose! Bargain! Few more drinks at the van and an early night the weather is cooler so we should have a good night sleep! Night ...

After a walk through town we were back in the car, driving through farm land, narrowly avoiding tractors whizzing around corners, and a header climbing over a patch of grass to turn a corner down the hill. This was very pretty farmland, with farmers looking like farmers everywhere, standing surveying their lot.

... I'm happy that the driver got the fault and I'm back on track. He drops me of on a campsite in Gannat. When I look on my map I see that I'm 180 kilometre out from my family and start daydreaming about how great it would be if I could make that tomorrow. There's a Dutch couple on the campsite and later, there's also a Scottish couple coming. I have a nice chat with both couples, very nice ...

First we had to negotiate ourselves out of the car park and into the Aires car park, which we did with much miming and sign language, our French not being as good as our poor German. Clermont-Ferrand, we discovered, is Michelin tyre city. The head office and an enormous factory were situated just next to our camp spot. Set off by tram into Clemont-Ferrand town to find a dentist to mend my broken tooth. After extremely helpful staff at Tourist Info ...
