    ... essential in this heat and only one dollar a half litre in the supermarket) and accompanied by fresh bread, garlic aioli and olives, followed by a couple of tapas (dates wrapped in bacon, deep fried camembert on raspberry coulis,potatoes smothered in a chilli and tomato based aioli - get the idea?) washed down by a generous glass of house red.

    We swim in the afternoon (see, more exercise) and after siesta we start a similar process of drinks and olives before venturing ...

    ... line-height: normal;">Little by little we are getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road. I am finding it easier to work the gears etc. although remembering which way to look to see what is going on behind you and remembering to give way to traffic on your left at roundabouts, is still a problem.

    ... with so many expensive shops. Apart from the cafes and duty free shops, I have never seen anyone buy anything, in any one of them. You look into a shop and if the assistant isn't busy trying on their own merchandise, they round on you at frightening speed, to have a chat. They must be bored out of their minds, having nothing to do all day and who in the world can afford to keep these places open without selling anything?

    A restful day at sea today. Our fourth last day onboard and perhaps time to reflect on some things that have stood out during our voyage. Throughout Europe, where ever we have travelled we have seen large numbers of wind farms and solar panelling. On some farms they have solar panelling around the perimeter of the fencing on the properties. In some of the tiny villages in Turkey the old houses have solar panelling ...
