... thunder. It is quite strange, as it was almost tropical - the last thing I expected to experience in Poland. We enjoyed nature's entertainment whilst dining on the terrace. As in most Polish hotels, the curtains are virtually non existent, so we watched it as we went off to sleep as well.

Well. we are safely back in Kielce after a couple of days away in Kalisz. On our last night we were caught up in the midst of wedding celebrations at the Hotel. It was a Polish girl and a Scottish groom. Whilst sitting quietly to one side, we were joined by the Scots, who found English speaking tourists a great attraction. The guys in their kilts looked oddly out of place, but were great fun and loved finding ...

... Promenada, which is in a block of newly built apartments. We have a delightful Studio apartment, complete with cooktop, fridge and sink. It is located pretty close to the town centre and lovely parks.

... much). The staff was friendly. There was a small play area for children that Bryn enjoyed. And when it was time to leave, the staff and some other customers helped us confirm our route to a different tram stop that would take us back to the tram station right next to our apartment. In the process of getting home, we learned that the number 15 tram is the best one for us to take to and from the old town center.

We are feeling like locals. . .well, sort of.
