      ... We were pretty hot and bothered by the time we tracked back to the other metro station and it was already past lunch time and our check in time for the cruise. Matty did such a great job in his turn of reading the maps and guiding us through the metros and train stations it was Sami's turn today both did a great job. We made it back to the hotel to grab our gear and got a taxi directly to the port. We had to line up for ages to check in to the NCL Norwegian Spirit. ...

      ... in abundance and a small back covered with low herbs (thyme, amongst others) was very attractive to butterflies and Julie got a few decent photographs, although yet again some of them proved very difficult to identify.

      The church itself was closed (I think there was a €2 entry fee) so our photos are only of the outside but if you're interested you can read more about it here ...

      ... and took in all the sights and fountains to be found there.
      For our last evening we were lucky enough to be treated to the night show of the Magic Fountain. It was lovely. We joined what must have been three thousand plus people enjoying it!
      We have fond memories of a wonderful stay in Barcelona.
      Thanks for the emails. We love receiving them. Peter could not resist this umbrella photo as it reminded us of home! ...

      ... century probably commissioned a new, prettier statue!

      The rain opened up on us again in the mountains but Dar got some beautiful shots. There is a funicular that you can take to the top and hike to 13 different small chapels that were built for monks to stay in.

      We headed back to Barcelona and the boat. Easy check-in, had a nice lunch and we made it to our cabin by 2:30.

      The cruise line knew about Dar's birthday ...

      Just back from a weekend in Barcelona, Spain. After 2 days, 30 miles exploring the city on foot, and the best food I have had in almost 2 months, Barcelona stole a little piece of my heart and I hope to make it back someday.
