          Ideal Location

We had a good room for the two of us. Wifi free and worked well. The bathroom was good also with decent water pressure. Our view was along the main street. Breakfast was a little below standard for us. Great location though. Just walking distance to the city shops. No real bargains here, found it rather expensive. The reception area is a little cramped with groups, and the lift is small, so the stairs was the best way to get to the room.

This hotel is ideally located in central Lucerne and the staff have been very helpful. Our room is very clean and the shower is lovely. This room is satisfactory for our use over two nights, although it is a little smaller than we are use to.
The television has no English speaking stations and we have been advised this is due to the electronics changing to digital. That aside - we had a good time at the hotel and they gave us a nice farewell with the staff standing outside in a line, a Swiss flag, ringing a cowbell and waving a farewell. A very nice touch. Another nice touch from the receptionist at the Hotel on leaving was an offer to exchange all our Swiss coin at no commission and this was really appreciated. When one leaves Switzerland, any coin is not transferable elsewhere. Our amount equated to 29 Euro.

... city. It was just the relaxing day we needed after the excitement of the day before! We found an ice cream stall as we were walking – ice creams all round, please! Another case of good ice cream abroad.

Emma took us all to a great view point, overlooking the water and the old city. We discovered giant outdoor chess sets & swings. Naturally we were mature and sensible and denied ourselves the opportunity to explore our own inner children! (Obviously I'm lying!) ...
