    Last night we had a fairly fierce storm, a lot of wind, buckets of needed rain and plenty of lightening. One strike was near the house and at 9pm all went dark... kaboom... then crickets.

    Thanks to my IPod/kindle I toughed it out reading for awhile, but finally gave up around 11pm. Woke up at 6am and still nothing... so we went for a nice long walk after breakfast... ...

    I live here!

    This is the view from the "car park" at the Cooperouro in our neighborhood this afternoon. I walked over to the hardware store and to lunch at a nice self service, and noticed the nice light so stopped to take a pic.

    Well, in one way struck it lucky as got a shared taxi ride to the terminal in Piumhi in half the time, but also the trip to the NP did actually leave – still, was happy not to give my money to that miserable xenophobe nor suffer a 10 hour tour with all the time devoted to **** I wasn't interested in – there are waterfalls all over the world! The other option, to spend 280 real (nearly 75) on a private 4 hour tour was untenable too, so had ...
