A nice walk down the street, past a house or two beginning to put out the green!
Then up to the praša, around past our new neighborhood and down via a great fusca and the grocery store to home... after a very cold night, the sun is out and kinda nice.

... looked like a mini grand canyon. Maddie was on cook group but apparently I was too germy to do my duty, so had dinner, played a game of Phase 10 with the girls while
Maddie gave Johnny another guitar lesson, and then an early night, ready for a
long drive to Brasilia tomorrow.
Some days really are quite boring.
The rocks they dug up were flat as was used a lot on house production and stacked up and used as ‘pit props’ it seemed to work quite well as you can see, the off shoots in the mine are everywhere, some lit by electric bulbs now, but when the slaves were there it would be ‘fat’ lamps
There are still holes where the dynamite was pushed into the rock, during this time, there would be rock falls, dust blown out, so ...
... in these to eventually buy their freedom.
The mine owner used hollowed out statues to hide the gold and sold it to the church.
It was nice to see a brass band marching while I was there. A bit random but good.
Back at camp I had to point out to Harry, not a man with much common sense, that drying his trousers over the electrical cables wasn't the smartest plan. Sometimes I ready wonder how mankind survives...
