This is such a lovely city!

Of course, it combines all I like. Steep streets going up and down, churches everywhere, beautiful views from a terrace downwards. A lively city too, with cosy cafés to sit when a little rain is coming - we are in Autumn here- probably very tourist like. But now it is low season so very nice.

I maybe chose my time badly: holy week. It was not only about good Friday, holy Saturday and easter Sunday. It was ...

On the subject of balls, the bid cheesy balls, pao do queijo, are the culinary highlight so far – nice for breakfast still warm and stuffed with the good Canastra cheese, though didn’t get to try the mature stuff unfortunately.

... into the ride we were stopped due to a parade. It turns out that these celebrations happen often. After waiting 15 minutes we decided to ditch the bus and go to the station on foot so we wouldn't miss our bus. Unfortunately this meant a mile-long run up big cobblestone hills filled with celebration preparations. Not ideal. We made it minutes before the bus left, purchasing the last two ...

      Duas fuscas para Charlie

Bagged a pair of fuscas for Charlie in Singapore... one of which seems celestial, must have had a guardian angel! Other than that is a clear and warm day here in the Terra de Nunca.

      Life is good!
