Our target for the day was to explore the Auvergne area, and see the landscapes with more than 400 volcanoes. Some of the volcanoes are as old as 65 million years, and the youngest about 7'600 years.

... ringing. We decided to give them the right away and let them pass. We drove to a nearby ski town Monte-Dore just to look around. And a bit further north again......seeking climbing. The book says it's rich pickings around here in this small ski resort. It probably is......but we didn't hang aground to find out. It dropped to about 4 deg at night and we woke up in the clouds.......and rain. So we moved on again.
