The Auvergne was one of my ‘wish list’ places to see. It is situated pretty much in the centre of France and is about as rural as you can get, reported to be the least populated region in Europe. ... Lodeve for lunch which we had under plane trees near our car after an espresso pick me up. On the route we went over the famous viaduct Millieau bridge. Arriving in Victor La Coste we were a little lost. So yes another espresso saved the day. A very young gentleman offered to take us to 4 rue de la cantonnade riding his bike. See photo. ... Another superb 3 course lunch at Coin d'Aubrac - salad (raw beetroot thinly sliced, baby spinach, almonds, potato, red peppercorns, herbs with a light delicious dressing).
