... purpose built bus stops which sells food at airport prices. I mean $2 Euro for a kiwi fruit? Come on! We'd packed some Vegemite sandwiches so we passed on the food and made use of the free Wi-Fi instead.

Arriving in Madrid we fumbled our way onto 2 different trains to arrive at Puerta del Sol, one of the main tourist squares in Madrid and just around the corner from where we were staying. After settling into our Pension (where the ...

Retiro Park - a huge, beautiful, green and lush park smack in the city - is where we started today. There is a rectangular man-made lake with rowboats and a motored tourist boat. ... museum today and saw "Las Meninas," which I was super excited to see. It was huge and the museum was huge. It was a bit overwhelming. I really like Spain. I wasn't sure how I was going to be here for so long but now I couldn't be happier. Oh, and I can't forget how much I love my roommates! All five of us get along so well and we love having roomie time. It literally has been such a blessing.
Looking forward to the next update!! Miss you all :) ...

Late that evening we did a Segway tour of Madrid, which was wonderful, if you haven't tried Segway before I can highly recommend it. When we finished Riley redecorated the office with an electric bike (we will give more details when we get home, very funny). We finish at 10.30, girls have dinner at home and mum and dad head out for dinner at a famous tapas strip in Casa Brava.
