Went to bunny Island aka Okunishima poison gas facility. A very interesting place, the rabbits came about as they are the survivors after the release of the poison gas after the war. On the walk around we had a look at the poison gas museum. Wow ...

Waking still feeling nauseated and all round **** to a Japanese breakfast of more miso soup and a whole fish looking back at me was not a highlight. In Japan as they are always so polite and respectful, it was rude to not eat what was in front of me, despite every cell wanting to vomit all over the googley eyed slimy fish. Pito said I ...

... our bags with the hostel (who promised to send them to our next hostel) and hoped they would make it to our next destination without us, whilst we cycled the 70km to Onomichi. The route crosses 8 different islands and many impressive bridges with some very long uphill bits and some more enjoyable downhill bits. The scenery was beautiful but we arrived in onomichi very tired and achy a few hours later.

Matsuyama and cycling to onomichi gets a big thumbs ...
