... our bags with the hostel (who promised to send them to our next hostel) and hoped they would make it to our next destination without us, whilst we cycled the 70km to Onomichi. The route crosses 8 different islands and many impressive bridges with some very long uphill bits and some more enjoyable downhill bits. The scenery was beautiful but we arrived in onomichi very tired and achy a few hours later.
