    We enjoy getting to know each other during welcome festivities at the hotel, and then take a short panoramic bus tour of some of the areas of the city we haven't visited before. Dinner tonight is at an entertainment complex knows as the Taiwan Center. The meal is satisfying, but as one tour member summed it up later: "It wasn't haute cuisine."     ... not every day that you get to meet a nation of stealing, rude, ********, with no culture whatsoever. We could not wait to get there.

    In order to get there, we had to get a bus to the Montenegrin border, get off, walk through immigration and then into the Albanian border immigration, then get another bus to the town of Shkoder. From there we would need to disembark, walk around a roundabout, or any of the other six locations that the other bus to the capital Tirana ...

    After saying Faleminderit (thanks) to Arbri , we came to Tirana by bus and our host Erwin picket us up. He brought us to his appartement and left us there with his cousin while he was at work! It was a 28-minute ride downhill to the main highway in Fushe Kruja, where we immediately transferred to a small furgon to Tirana at 6:04, departing at 6:05. This is a small van with only six passengers. We traveled nonstop to Tirana, arriving at 6:34. Hailed a taxi to our hotel. Driver indicated he didn’t have a meter and asked for 500 leke ($4.72). I knew the true meter rate was 265 leke ($2.50) based on our ride this morning. ...
