Checked into my hostel last night very late. Reception wasn't open, had to call one of the workers to let me in. Unfortunately, I somehow dialed the wrong number and was talking to a person working at a hostel in Cologne, 250 miles away. Couldn't believe how stupid this person was, tried explaining that I was standing outside the front door the entire time, couldn't understand why they couldn't let me in. After 3 calls and 20 minutes of frustration, I realized ...

... wrote "Mein Kampf". Didn't know that Munich is basically the birthplace of Hitler's political career and the Nazi party itself. We finished the tour in the platz vor der feldherrnhalle (big plaza), which is surrounded by the Feldherrnhalle and the Theatinerkiche (giant golden cathedral, front was covered in scaffolding as it was undergoing renovations, like half of europe during winter).

Amazing! King Ludwig II was crazy but he has an amazing castle that was made for him. The weather was not the best but the castle was impressive non the less. Went inside but no pictures of course. For it's massive size the castle is not finished! King Ludwig died (possibly murdered) before it was finished so they stopped production. Beautiful view that I will alway ...

We decided to do something special for Valentine's day and took a trip on the romantic road to Neuschwanstein castle. Along the way we got a bit lost and I'm sure the lady inside the navigation system was trying to sabotage us making us do u-turns followed by u-turns and going absolutely nowhere. We stopped at Nordlingen which is a city known for its watchtower and built in ...

      THE CASTLE

... in which a candle would be lit to provide the appearance of starlight to the bedroom below. Stunningly beautiful. Then we waited in line for the horse drawn carriages below, mistakenly thinking we had plenty of time to wait before the Neuschwanstein tour as the walk up the hill was supposedly an hour long. This turned out to not be true, as Maria and Isil made it up there in around half an hour, but we were stuck waiting ...
