    11/02 Boarding Princess

Somehow stuff was more difficult to get into the suitcases than to get out, but we were already to go by 11am. The owner of the B&B had to let us off in the parking lot and we took a bus to Princess. We had to yell at the driver to stop as he went whizzing by, but were grateful that he didn't leave us there and zoom off with out luggage. The Ocean Princess is a former Renaissance ship and is very classic and ...

We have the opportunity on this cruise to spend one more day in Greece. This time it is the island of Corfu. The weather is hot and sunny and although not planned, we decided to bring the bikes out and go for a ride in Greece. However, it was Sunday and we have found that wherever we have been in Europe the traffic has been very light ...

... lunch on board. Corfu was impressive from what we saw. Very lush and green with a gorgeous coastline - you have to leave something to come back and explore! Tonight's entertainment was really fantastic - "East Coast Boys" a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Season" - great to sing along to 4 guys singing with perfect harmony together with a live band. It is still raining a seas a little rougher - but it is meant to be fine in Athens ...

... into the ocean each year!
After viewing the food stock we got to visit the Galley. We had to put aprons and hair nets on. I got Toby & I a hair net. Toby looked at me and said "really?" Ha ha i forgot he has no hair! Oh well he wore it anyway. This part of the tour was a mouth watering experience mmm my favourite section was the bakery! The bakery works in 3 shifts 24hrs a day. I was extremely hungry after seeing and smelling food being prepared. ...

... the highway trying to get your business, insane Mercedes drivers and goat herders throughout. The road themselves declined severely as we entered our destination Berat. This is what everyone had been talking about. Often the road is fine, and then suddenly half drops a foot into dirt road, then both sides, then returns, then goes again. Dust is everywhere, no one sticks to their side of the road, road workers are throughout yet none control traffic ...
