Awake at 0600 dressed, breakfast & left at 0830 for our morning trip to Salzburg. And sunshine as we leave Innsbruck. As we leave onto motorway there is quite a blockage on the oncoming side ( fortunately ) trucks ++ probably due to a religious holiday tomorrow. Snow peaked mountains surrounded us as we viewed some filming locations most identified to the movie based on the Von Trapp family. Dinner allowed us to try some of the more traditional Austrian food, pork schnitzel and dumplings, while we got into the local spirit of beer drinking! After dinner, we tried ...

... both Linderhof and Neuschwanstein put together. Ludwig had a bit of an obsession with Louis XIV and XV of France and literally made a copy of several rooms in Versailles (including the hall of mirrors).

Next, we said goodbye to our car! It took us about 90 more minutes to get from Prien am Chiemsee to the Munich Airport. We dropped off our car with Avis and grabbed the S-Bahn into the city. Have I ...
