Last weekend I had fun catching up with Ally Drake Brockman who was here with her Renaissance group to tour the gardens of the Cote d'Azur. We had a lovely time and the group she was travelling with seem really nice. They stayed in the hotel Victoria in Roquebrune Cap Martin and they were literally across the road to the beach. We has a gorgeous dinner together which Ally generously shouted me to.

... not allowed to take photos. This place was pretty grand and we were all feeling like little fish in a big pond, with marble pillars and old art work. We walked through and had a look at the tables, but didn’t see any obvious “whales” but then we didn’t get to go into the private betting rooms. We had a loo break and they were pretty flash too with self cleaning seats.

... don't speak French so what a drama, got Scott our quite to help, French very uncooperative so Scott said wait till tomorrow and report it in Italy as they are easier to deal with. Somehow we managed to be here the day before the F1 races started so we saw the tracks all bring set up. The tracks were open to walking and we could walk right outside the pit lane too. We were really lucky cos 1-2 hours later they totally closed up all access.
