      ... condition considering its age. We followed the track to where the aqueduct starts. It is fed by an underground stream which is still pushing out water today (not via the aqueduct of course). Pure fresh water and it is delicious. We walked along the top of the aqueduct in parts and some of the stones have been lifted to reveal inside. It is hard to believe that they used this piece ...

      ... very relieved to get off the road at Narbonne and make our way to the campsite at Colombiers, which is right by the Canal du Midi and quite sheltered. We last stayed here about 5 years ago - in summer. Rob's arms were aching with trying to control the steering.

      Our third stop for our race is France. It was a 17 hour flight with stops in Nairobi and Paris. Anie fell asleep right away on the first flight since she was exhausted from the activities in South Africa, leaving Clarke to get her mind of the fact she was on a plane on her own.       Early this morning, the ship needed to vacate its port berth in favour of Oceania Marina – we were to be ferried in by tender during the day – or at least that's what we thought.

      We discovered on waking, that the swell was too strong to anchor and, instead, the ship would slowly cruise around in circles allowing the tenders to shimmy along side.

      ... their stay) We had a fabulous few days. We all cycled to St Tropez where we had some great ‘shopping experiences’ - you wanna see the surprise?? (in a very french accent!), we ate lovely food and drank copious amounts of local wine. The rain didn’t beat us! A perfect long weekend. Jenson adores Cameron & Devon so he was in his element!
      We befriended a couple of the reps on site so we ended up staying a couple of days longer here ...
