... com to look for jobs because that is where most schools advertise. it is well known within korea . i don’t recommend going with a recruiter. if you can talk with the school directly to find the job that is best. but if it is getting close to the time you want to leave, then talk to a recruiter and they will find you a job right away. it is to your and your future employers advantage to not go through a recruiter. the recruiter takes 1 ...
Daejeon, Korea Rep. lcridd... fools (myself, Daniel [Jae Ho] and Flora [Kkot Nim]) continuously joked around and made sure that everyone knew that we were, in fact, the best.

The highlight of the day was when I ran into one of my students, who was shocked to see that I did, in fact, have a life outside of teaching. A teacher being a real person!? Surely you jest.

Daejeon, Korea Rep. ahokieabroadToday Mike, Hank, and I took a little trip outside of town to the Daejeon Graveyard and to some of the mountains near town. Daejeon is located in a valley. It's surrounded on all four sides by mountains which look more like large hills to me, but I'll take what I can get. It was pretty hot so little Hankers had a pretty rough time getting around. He's really only worthwhile in weather above 65 and below 75. Little buddy struggled but it was fun.
Cheongju, Korea Rep. clemandpo· Jochiwon, South Korea · GMT +8:00 hours · Days until we finish camp - 19 · Days until we leave Korea - 24 Anomalousness It feels strange to have time off and I don't really know what to do. I feel like I should be doing something, something Camp Korea (CK) related. Anything CK related. But I'm resisting. There is plenty I could be doing, but I'm not going to worry about that right now ...
Jochiwon, Korea Rep. byrnedm· Jochiwon, South Korea · GMT +8:00 hours · Days until we finish camp - 32 · Days until we leave Korea - 37 The crude countdown timer you see above (yep, that's what those two lines are, okay?) will be an ever present feature capping the rest of the entries we file from Korea. I realise it may not look good that I'm counting down the days we have left in camp, or Korea in general, but I wouldn't read too much into it - it's just ...

Oh, that rydmick clicking of pages filing through the potocopier is driving me nuts. Day 135 & 136 Observations (December 26th & 27th 2007) · Ominous Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. The first two teachers arrived today and quickly proclaimed that they don't envy us being head teachers. Umm. · Prepare to cringe We're bad, oh so ...

Trying to judge if Tom would be a better suited roommate for either Dick or Harry based on their ages, nationality, experience etc was bad enough, but getting requests from teachers to, for example, room alone due to a snoring problem made things a tad more interesting. Day 131 Observations (Saturday, December 22nd 2007) · God bless snooze We hate our alarm clock once again. Yep, after a 3 ...
Jochiwon, Korea Rep. byrnedm... no rules and that is what works best. Simply think about your safety and keep driving full on ahead. This is how the country is motivated. Progress is the only focus of everything. The goal is to accomplish everything and don't think about the consequences behind or to the sides of you. I have heard that in the driver's license test if you look in your mirrors or in your blind spots you fail the test.

I had to take a test with all the Koreans to receive my ...
Daejeon, Korea Rep. lcridd... to also have the same or better shiny new car. Plus it has to be Korean made to support all of your country men. Rarely do people drive import cars because the taxes are exorbitant on them. After reaching the first major intersection, your life will have passed before your eyes twice. But after driving for another couple of days this death flashing phenomenon will pass and it will all just be run of the mill driving. Basically the rule of the road is ...
