Eleanor was singing with the guitar first thing in the morning while I danced. The red around my tick bite was fading, thankfully, and so I happily told myself that my future health was fine. For my distant family to accept this was another matter, even my mother now writing with quite some persistence that if I didn't take antibiotics I could end up dead. A lovely buffet breakfast greeted our awakening along with hot sun and blue skies. As is the way of George he was in the swimming pool soon after breakfast. Already having a tick wound I soon enough acquired another bite close to it as the farms black cat which snuggled up to my legs all of a sudden sunk its teeth into me. A quick reassurance online that there was no rabies in Menorca soon enough got me dismissing all, for I am a country girl and such are the ways of nature. ...

... br> Even though the wifi did not stretch to our apartment, as had been our hope. Really that would have made all so much better. As for the breakfast buffet in a conservatory of the mansion, overlooking gardens and swimming pool, this was marvellous, a big buffet spread to select from of local and farm foods. George was soon in the pool having a good swim with his safety float on.

Menorca is definitely a holiday island, it is much smaller than its neighbour, Majorca, seems far less developed and where this has taken place the villas or hotels seem to be on a much smaller, or higher quality scale.
