I just have to finish off in Tuscany ... We spent our last morning in Bagni di San Filippo...one of the local thermal sulphur bath areas near Pienza. Well what a laugh...we never expected the guys to rise to the occasion .....but they did, shower caps and all...looking like those other rubber things!!! What a laugh... We all enjoyed it and came out relaxed and smiling! A super little lunch spot ...
... come, I am needing a fresh
start. This emotional valley is the perfect opportunity to reevaluate, to
integrate what has happened thus far, and to design the next phase. The biggest
gap seems to have been in the area of sustainability.
I forgot wings.
Certainly there is plenty of energy, updrafts to glide on,
gusts to gain distance, and gentle breezes to joyfully soar with. And no doubt my deepest desires to ...
... but maybe that is normal at this time of year?
Alongside the road we have seen vines, olives, sunflowers (gone over and presumably ready to harvest) and maize. There have been lots of little (and some not so little) lizards on the road - they peer up at us approaching and then scarper sharpish.
The roads have been much quieter today, which was nice.

... tasty pizza in Sienna. Surprisingly, to us, the soup with bread was not a bowl with bread on the side. The bread was in small pieces in the soup, another new item for our list of new experiences.
Altogether it was a good day.
We were very tired as this was another long day but tomorrow should be fairly relaxing. We are going to San Gimignano for a visit to that village, stopping at a vineyard for a wine tasting and finally spending the night in ...
