supermarket to stock-up and then continued north to the Valle dei Laghi. We are
still in the Trentino-Alto Adige region and not far from Trento, the principle
city of the region. The mountains are getting higher and the lakes smaller.

The campsite is lovely with stunning views of the rocky peak of La Paganella at 2105 metres high. John has bought a map so we can plan some walks.

We arrived there late in the morning, stopping for a quick espresso at a truck stop - it's hard to get used to doing things the Italian Way when you have to pay for what you want first, then go and join the queue to get served! ... his English, Stephan is here to climb the highest peak, and explains how easy it will be. After a couple of bottles of red wine we think we could do it too!

A good nights sleep for some, the rooms have walls that help clarify every sound from the next room. I stay on ear watch in case Adam gets too carried away with his night song. Breakfast is a buffet and the other guests seem to scowl as we walk in. And we were on our ...
