      ... t help but think about the hours their old hands had crafted that beautiful lace. If I spoke their language I could have sat their for hours talking to them. On our way to Burano I heard English, so I asked where they were from, wonderful San Francisco area. They wanted to do the Gondola ride, but didn't want to pay $100.00 euros for it and neither did we, so we went with them and split the price. It's just something you have to do in Venice!       ... on the buildings on our side of the canal, keeping my camera very active. While admiring the view, the Engineer in Tim was also active, looking at the foundations and wondering how these building are still standing. It's a marvel.
