    ... it. The ride went for 35 minutes. After the gondola ride we had about 30 minutes free time until dinner. We walked around Venice and had no idea where we were going but we just went for an adventure. We ended up being where we wanted to be anyway. For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant. The entree was a cold seafood mix of calamari, octopus, capsicum and some other things, cured meats, a small margarita pizza ...

    Weather: fine & sunny Up at 5.20 am, packed and ready for transfer to Airport in BMW Wagon to catch flight to Venice. Flight delayed on runway by 45 minutes due to excess air traffic, and to make matters worse, an elderly gent took ill during the flight and we had to make an emergency landing at Erbil International Airport in The Kurdistan Region of Iraq! Finally landed at Marco Polo ...

    Tonight is our last night in Venice and although I loved it I'm ready to move on and see the much anticipated Roma! Five nights was probably two nights more than we needed but it was good to have some down time, especially after Oktoberfest!
