        ... very close to our house. We made it to San Marco Square – che bello – although it does seem very crowded. We believe there are several cruise ships here – so busy with tourists during the day. We eventually settled for a Lonely Planet recommended restaurant.         ... a slight cloud cover. It made for a beautiful night! Couple that with reflection in the water and the bells from St. Mark's-beautiful. Things I miss from the States : large glasses of ice water. For a city built on water, the Italians are much more liberal with their alcohol and wine than their water.
