... basilica but unfortunately it was closed so we started to walk back to Grom for a gelato. We reached Grom and each got a medium cup of gelato. I got chocolate and dark chocolate, I liked it a lot and wanted more. We couldn't get more so we headed of to get all the dead skin on our feet eaten by the little fishes. ... we found an out of the way cafe ,luckily they had a tourist menu with tourist prices . We wandered back towards the unit as the heaviest of the storm hit so off to the deli and an afternoon feast at our apartment. The rain continued into the night but headed out for dinner. ... in a terrible state and require major dollars to repair and the smell from the canals was unpleasant. When the moon is full and the tide falls then the smell is terrible. But St. Marks square was absolutely lovely and the museum and church which surround the square are splendid. First stop was the island of Morano which has been made famous by its glass factories.
