... is made from cumquat . I wonder if it is as good as Contreau ? After wondering I found a shop and and sampled some. I didn't mind it actually. I bought a small bottle of the Lemmoncello and the Cumquat Liqueur . We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.

The day started quietly with our rental car delivered to the camp site. We had a relaxed breakfast and waited for J&L to arrive with their car. The car was a tiny Kia - perfectly suited to Corfus narrow roads and off we set driving north up the east coast of Corfu.

Once again we stopped several times on the way up the coast but most of the shops, cafes and restaurants were closed. Even with the little car the trip was quite slow going ...

... the To Tavernaki tis Marinas, where I had a Greek style home made burger (very nice). After dinner, it was time for us to leave Corfu and indeed the Adriatic coast, so we headed back to the bus station, picked up our bags and walked ~4km back through the Old Town, along the Spianada, down the coastal road and onto the Airport to catch our flight home to Manchester (we didn't want to cough up 12 euros for a 5 minute taxi ride!).

    We had to ...
