    We left Chania early on Thursday morning by bus and headed for Heraklion, the capital of Crete. It is a larger city and many say it isn't too interesting but we liked the feel of it, especially after the crowded, noisy old city of Chania.     ... Chronologically, it spans 5500 years from Neolithic to Roman times. The setup was beautiful and I was buzzing around snapping pictures of everything.
