... valley. It was an 8 hour effort but we got there with beautiful scenery on the way. We relaxed there for the arvo and had a great dinner at the accommodation restaurant. It was pretty good eating meat after having vegetarian meals the whole time in Shkoder. Valbona was very nice with mountains all around and friendly staff at the hostel. The next day we hiked over a mountain from Valbona valley to Thethi. We reached ...

... made walking down treacherous and exercised my heart in a whole different manner. I saw another German couple. In their 20s, carrying bulging backpacks, almost at the summit and not even breathing hard. Had a walk to the nearby waterfall which was nice but too cold to go ...

... his friend could take us for the same price as the tour would have cost in his 'mini car'. Mum thought that he meant mini-bus and had gotten the words confused, but I was expecting pretty much what we got.

A 2 door 1980-something Golf, no air-con, no seat belts. The car wasn't too bad, but the driving was pretty terrible, at one point he was eating an ice-cream while simultaneously talking on the phone while also driving too fast on a mountain road... The ...

... those and hope there's either nothing coming the other way or we have a car in front. Kolasin's a montenegran ski resort; in the summer it seems pretty deserted. With noone in sight we stop at a hut and ask for camping. Not overly convinced where we can camp and with only a grass verge available we resort to a hotel; that's now 32 camp sites and the ninth hotel. With pink walls its pretty ...
