Kotor, Budva and nearly dying

... ariel view of the road it literally looks like hair pins. The bus barely fit onto the road and when other cars or buses came down from the other end it was so frightening that someone would just drop off the cliff. Every time the bus had to turn on one of the 25 hair pin curves it felt like we would just fly off the road. It took 1.5hours to get to the top and we were 1006m high. There isn't very much at the village, most of the buses stop at a little cafe that the locals ...

Europe's most boring capital

We went to a bar in the village, where we met the man from the day before. He reluctantly admitted that ...

Win win of the day: We wanted to go to Ostrog Monastery which is an amazing old Monastery literally built into the side of a cliff, but unfortunately we wanted to go on a day that tour buses were not running. We decided to catch the bus to Podgorica (capital of Montenegro) and get a taxi from there to the Monastery. When we got to the bus station I went to buy us a ticket to Podgorica, but as I was in the queue mum struck up a conversation with a man outside who told ...

A hotel!

... those and hope there's either nothing coming the other way or we have a car in front. Kolasin's a montenegran ski resort; in the summer it seems pretty deserted. With noone in sight we stop at a hut and ask for camping. Not overly convinced where we can camp and with only a grass verge available we resort to a hotel; that's now 32 camp sites and the ninth hotel. With pink walls its pretty ...
