The return to Finland
I felt like an old hand as I boarded the early ferry for Helsinki. Luggage stored into lockers & off to the breakfast buffet I went. There are obviously groups who do the ferry ride as a days activity & I think someone was celebrating a birthday! The food is reasonably priced & suprisingly nice, so if they get a good day return price (& can duty free shop for alcohol) ...

Week 2 .......learning the ropes

We were able to clean up beds that were finished and plant out seedlings for another crop before summer is over. Week 1..... settling in ......
... berries, not being able to hold myself back, hobbled up hill and down dale with Riita & Raija, and brought back a few litres of bilberries and some wild raspberries. The bilberries were thick on the forest floor where R&R took us and a wild raspberry patch in one cleared area... they had been there yesterday with K&J so were keen to get more while in the swing of it.
