We took it easy for the first two days in order to get our bodies adjusted to the high altitude. By being here in Leh, we are easing into India. Great food is easily available.

First Full Day in Leh

... way down for some tea.

In the cafe we met a British couple who had just completed the longer trek we were thinking of doing. They look exhausted and their stories of how tiring the trek was made me glad we're doing a shorter one.

We're now wandering around Leh, internet. Probably go back to German bakery for lunch--if you find a good place, stick to it.

Then we'll prepare for the trek tomorrow.
