    ... empties. But it wasn't just men, it looked like there were entire families at work collecting bottles, which are actually worth 25 cents a piece. And because each bottle is worth so much, there aren't any lying around in the bushes. Every single bottle is collected and recycled. Not a bad idea eh Australia? I can't believe the South Australia is so forward thinking on recycling and plastic bags compared to the other states and so backward on everything ...

    ... we caught the S-Bahn to the hotel and checked in. We got a room upgrade to the 12th Floor because it was Steffie's birthday!

    For dinner, Rainer picked out the Warsteiner Elbspeicher on the Altona waterfront.     ... an American girl and a girl from Australia, both currently work in Germany. I and the girl from America arranged to meet on Monday to go to Minature Land. That day I also did a tour of St Pauli, the infamous red light district of Hamburg.
