... successfully with the help of a few friendly people. Germans are very helpful and if you ask for assistance go out of their way to get you to where you want to go. We arrived at the cruise boat successfully and were ushered on board to our cabin. I was initially disappointed with the view of concrete from our French balcony (see photo) until Rosanne pointed out we were still in dock! ... was simply multi colours, which reminded me of the Keith Green song Stained Glass. While we waited for the film we noticed a long queue of people. We realised they were waiting for food. A group of people, we think attached to the cathedral, were handing out plates of hot food and a bread roll, to anyone who was willing to line up for it. ... amp; as soon as you have finished another one is served & a mark on your mat keeps tally of how many you have drunk. The idea is that the beer is always 'fresh' & freshly drawn. Worked well..J had an impressive number of marks......

... old town square surrounded by restaurants and German pubs. It was a mild evening and walking a round with a massive backpack is hot work so as we walked back to station we passed several gelato shops and people eating ice cream, it seemed only right to join them and indulge in a gelato. ... to ourselves. This train was very clean. It had mirrored shelving to hold small items, above racks for our luggage and lots of storage for our backpacks. The blue leather seats reclined and the padded headrest detached and I used them as a pillow to look out the window. We were shocked to find that our cup of coffee was $7.00 Euros or $9.50 and there was no offer for a refill. Oh well, you live you learn. Paul stopped in the train station for a croissant ...
