... south Tehran is poor... And more. All in a 20 minutes and well worth the fare.

The rental car has sat nav, thank goodnes. However, we are now on pretty familiar turf. We headed off to Bad Homburg for lunch at our favourite potato restaurant. Now we are in Usingen at one of our favourite little hotels, the Kaminstube and are meeting our friends, Adelheid and Joachim for supper.

... service I think I received from the lovely Lufthansa flight attendant that checked me in and you get my current mood. She mentions that she very kindly put me in an exit row seat for my first flight because I'm tall. Nawwww. Unfortunately, it appears she cannot count as I was in the row BEHIND the exit seat row...not only did I not get all that leg room, I had to watch the other giants lounging in the luxurious space! Oh well...it was only 1.5 hours. At least the same ...

... all around the area. David and I took many pictures. In some areas they had photographs of the destruction that took place in WWII. The photos showed the before and after reconstruction. Visited two Catholic churches that had been reconstructed as they once were. The architecture shows the influence of Dutch.
Our time is up and we must return to the airport.
Because I have special needs we get to board ...

... though there was lots of people and of course every spice, fruit, veggie under the sun to buy. A market devoid of charm though. It was very quiet and not really any hustle and bustle. Not like the markets in less developed parts of the world. Hot though. Probably up to 32 degrees and it was hard to keep the water up. Spent a lot of time walking around and after having looked at many (!) men's undies stalls John bought a pair for about $3. That was all. ...
