... to dry figs on and make perfect kindling, but Seb's boss doesn't like to scratch his (expensive) car when (rarely) visiting the finca, so it was necessary to cut back the verges and my job to lop down these amazing plants. In the last three weeks we've had quite an impact in the finca, the bathrooms are super clean, the kitchen has newly covered shelves, clean cutlery and dishes and is extremely snug. I mopped ...

After a quick foray to Soller on Saturday to investigate the ceramics 'este nov' on a fact finding mission, as much as to relieve boredom, I headed via bus to Valldemossa today. It's gorgeous, quite simply a beautiful maze of interlinking cobbled lanes with tradition golden ...

... A mighty bank of rock crowned with cloud, snow and ariels. As soon as I reached the sea I stripped off my boots and stuck my feet in it. Beer back at the house quenched my exhaustion and I slept well! I wasn't quite so energetic today! Seemed wise to move at a more sundayish pace. I set up the long winding road to the lighthouse and Port Soller glittered below me. The walk has been gorgeous, deserted pine woods, grassy groves especially designed for ...
