... it was just a really money spinner for the glass factory. The demonstration could have been fantastic but we were jammed into tired standing room and I couldn't see as I was at the back and had so many tall people in front of me. After Mass we set off away from St Marks to avoid the crowds. After some time the crowds thinned out and we found a little restaurant where we ordered Pizza. Once there, I walked around for a few hours. It was ...

After we all went our separate ways I wandered around the courtyard for a bit and then saw that the queue for The Campanile (bell tower) wasn't very long so I decided I would go up that today as well. It was about 18:00 and it closed at 19:00 so it was perfect timing. Only had to wait about 5 minutes to catch the lift to the top. There was no way that I would ...

In the late morning, we packed up our gear and left our cozy little Hotel Saturnia. We took another water taxi, which are all great fun to cruise down the Grand Canal on.

We boarded the ship around noon...since we were spending a night in port, and all guests weren't required to board until we left the next night, the boarding process was easy, and we walked right on the ...
