Monaco: The best of it all in one little country
... floating in a beautiful, serene place lost to time.
Our dinner at VistaMar in the Hermitage Hotel (One of Monte Carlo/Monaco's top 10 restaurants) was complete with foie gras, sea bass, lamb, chocolate fondant and Grand Marnier Souffle... a perfect ending to an amazing meal. We finished the night in a small club cut into the side of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean.

... It can be quite disorienting to when your used to paying the person that serve you and ten they ask you in another language to pay elsewhere! It was a very good croissant though! We return to the ancestral manse
... which was within smelling distance of La Golondrina. We rarely ate there—it was hardly like going out—but it seemed appropriate for this visit. From our table on the terrasse of the restaurant we could see the roof of our old house.

... how to holiday. Mag had picked out a restaurant for dinner where we could et a wide variety of cooking so we scrubbed up a bit and headed out. At New York New York I asked for an inside table thinking it would help us avoid the smokers, no luck. they are such dorks over here ,smoking allowed almost everywhere, yuk yuk yuk. ... playing concerts for the holiday as we waited for the fireworks to start. Unfortunately, the fireworks were cancelled (we didn't find this out until today, actually, so we waited 2 hours for them!).
