... beautiful and varied hike from Tsumago to Nojiri. There is an alternative option with just 1 hour of walking instead. The trail travels through small valleys and past forests of bamboo and Japanese cedar, through some of the least-developed scenery on the tour. Continue by train to Kiso-Fukushima. Stay at a lovely hot spring ryokan set in a remote valley above the town (complimentary pick-up from the station is provided by the ryokan). The ...

8 km walk from walk Magemo to Tsumago.

The guide book and the tourist information centre told me that it would take 3hours to walk it.
However I only had 2, as I got up way to late to actually do this walk. What can I say i did it in 1 1/2 hours :)

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

We had a picnic at the beach on the way back, then a swim when we returned to Shirahama beach. A lovely relaxing day we even got s little bit of colour from the sun. This has been our first day without rain here in Japan! :) :) ...

We chilled out reading books this morning while it was pouring rain it was enjoyably relaxing. The rain started to ease off about 10 and we set off for a drive around the coastline of the Izu peninsula. It's not very far, just as well as the speed limit is 40 or 50km throughout the region. We had a fun day. The pics tell it ...
