... Riga? Well, you show her the arts&crafts on the market. On every market!

So on Saturday I took her to our own little farmer's market in Pārdaugava: in Kalnciema Kvartala. The theme of the week was fashion, and which is probably why there were two tanned, muscular boys running around in designer boxershorts. Afterwards we stopped by the permanent touristy market in Vecrīga, to get my mom some amber earrings.

... on the walls was really good. It followed the different eras of war for Latvia. There was 5 stories and many rooms filled with guns and uniforms and all kinds of things. The only down side was that there was limited english. This one was free also. The last museum that we found was the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation. ... dollar homes - stunning. Lunch - I had yet ANOTHER pint of a new beer (will have to de-tox after this trip) and pancakes with ham/sausage and garlic potatoes with sour cream. Food is SO up my alley. Maybe I should move here. We took a train back to Riga.
