    Losing it

... like the middle of nowhere. As it turns out if you take the direct route it's only a 10 minute drive to Lake Garda. So armed with 2 maps from the delightful Moreno we headed to Milralago for a lovely dinner with fantastic views. From the restaurant Jago spotted 2 football pitches, AC Garda. So the boys had a kick around and I went to check out the nearby pool. Then we drove to ...

    ... off at the
supermarket to stock-up and then continued north to the Valle dei Laghi. We are
still in the Trentino-Alto Adige region and not far from Trento, the principle
city of the region. The mountains are getting higher and the lakes smaller.

First we went to the Bergisel, the olympic Ski Jump, although you can see it from most the city, we didn't make it up here last time. If you're scared at the idea of the ski jump already, imagine how these guys feel practicing on astro turf? Just as we got to the footing of the jump the jets came on to wet down the turf, perplexed it was only a few ...

    Saturday 13th June

We drove towards la Pietra di Bismantova past the foundry, Fonderia Capanni that still makes bronze bells and they have a selection of all sizes on display in their yard. At the car park
for la Pietra, it is only a 30 minute walk to the summit so not too strenuous.
John was keen to check out the EE route. (EE means for expert hikers). It was a
via ferrata which uses steel cables to allow non expert climbers ...
