      28.10.14 Left Vaile Di Caises this morning under a very heavy frost. Thought we would outsmart Bruce the navigator and avoid the Autostrada. It did work and he took us into the Dolomites over Cortina above the tree line with great views which you will see. He also scared the willies out of us with windy steep roads the kind of switch backs you see in the Tour De France.       ... After lunch the 5 of us went for a boat ride around Lake Garda which was beautiful. The captain even let each of the boys have a turn steering the boat which they thought was pretty cool. We were then going to go and have a look through a castle but it closed at 1pm! We didn't realize this and got there at 1.30pm. Oh well!       ... we went on so many rides without lining up which we just wouldn't have been able to do otheerwise. It's such a huge place there were many things we didn't see even though we there for nearly 8 hours!!! It was a really fun day and I'm sure will be one of the highlights of the boys trips, it was one of mine too!       ... scared he would see it...... So anyway, poor Paul was left to get Luca stripped off and rinse out his clothes and car seat. I cleaned him up best I could and put him in some spare clothes of Nicolas' that we just happened to have in the car. (note -always travel with spare clothes for all kids!!!).
