    The complimentary breakfast was even more spartan than the previous hotel and the coffee a minor improvement but still lacking.  You can buy packaged croissants in the supermarket - the Rome BB had loads and they are tragic, kind of floppy, soggy yet dry and the taste is simply old package bad food flavour.  This hotel sets the table with …

    The hotel where we are stayIng is right next door to the funicular and a ferry jetty which services the series of islands on the lake. We managed to beat off the private water taxi touters, one who got a little snotty (too bad) and made our way along that most beautiful promenade to the main terminal in town.

    ... the hotel said it was just 500 meters but we off course took the wrong street and it ended up being 1km! Haha. Beer is all we could think about!
    we Check into the hotel have showers and meet Missy, David, Heather and Shar.
    we eat at a restauranr La Rosa dei Venti which was recommended to us by Guiseppe at the hotel.
    11 for dinner which was a feast and it cost €196.

    ... we spent too much time moving and not enough time enjoying.. Sandy described it well, moving every 2-3 days is for tourists, we are travellers.

    The time in the Loire valley was fabulous and we enjoyed having Marvin and Linda join us. The house was great and the hospitality amazing...even including a ride in their Daimler.

    Day 24 Today we pick up our bikes, have our pre tour briefing and the introductory dinner. I wandered down to breakfast at 9am and found Bill and Joan in the dinning room.
