... which go along the length of the mar menor and we followed the path all the way to the end. There was a windmill type of building and flamingos in the mud flats. Its a nice place and the mud there is supposed to have healing properties so in the summer the Spanish people cover themselves in it and walk around. Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...
