... entertainment" afterwards. We've met a marvelous singer, Sarah Jane Morris who performed for us along with another guest Annette Brown who is a musician, she plays the trumpet. They did several songs, very nice. And Lars was convinced to do his special version of the Swedish Chef. Annette even made a chef's hat for him. It was a fun evening.

It has been a great week for recharging the batteries, relaxing and filling our tummies with really healthy food.

In summer I suspect the area in which I am staying will be heaving with holiday makers but at the moment most of the holiday villas and flats that stretch for miles along the beach are empty and borded up. They are surrounded by wasteland and and abandoned building plots and I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to move here. ... had a long walk on the beach and now I am drinking whisky and listening to the rain on the roof, but at least it is fairly warm and I don't need any heating. Life could be worse.

There are lots of English retirees here which means that there are lots of clubs for my grandparents to join and English restaurants and bars for around so we have had traditional English food here as well as Spanish food. Its a very nice place with perfect sunny weather but its very quiet in winter and there are lots of things closed. Tomorrow morning we have to leave for London, it doesn't seem like we have been here long enough to already be leaving again!
