... lunch inspiration – can’t face any more of
the hideous bread. Ended up with fried eggs and oven chips, comfort food, but
have to take advantage of the oven.

Headed out later to check out the classical string
performances in front of the Manzana – of course the tourist office were
clueless (and happy to remain so) about it and pretty much everything else,
both in the centre and at the bus station!

... despite the frustration we felt before, we were happy we hung around.

After getting some good photos we moved around a bit for a few different angles but nothing really compared to our first spot. The last car went around at about 4:30 which gave us enough time to go to the toilet before getting back on the bus. It took closer to 2 and a half hours on the way back due to the traffic all heading back to the the same town. I was exhausted amd tried to sleep on the bus but ...

... and ask tomorrow. Thanks guys, really helpful. The americans had managed to book a bus down south so we engaged in a leisurely final supper up the terraza with plentiful red wine and 8 empanadas each. Apparently this is excessive. 6 count as a meal. But who´s counting.

... university / cathedral – a UNESCO world heritage site and one evening the hostel put on free empaladas but let everyone get involved, showing us all how to make them.

Cordoba was ok, nothing too special but the hostel was really nice and friendly so wasn’t too bad to be based there for a few days.

... Like a rustic Spanish or Greek town, with old ruins and a lighthouse, lit up in stark beams at night. Indeed, this incredibly peaceful, beautiful town took on a delightful character at night - almost film noir. Thus I loved it.
