It feels like I've been here for absolute ages, it is easy to see why they love it here so much. We are totally separated from the rest of the world and get quite 'put out’ when someone uses our beach. (All beaches in Italy are public property so the odd person does appear every now and then, luckily not very often.) It's a little harder to write about the my time in Italy after the fact. and by that i mean after 10 days of drinking and smoking and rinsing my ears with DnB.... but i'll give it a shot-

Peace at last...
... now and then. As the beach wasn’t an option for the first time, I took the car out for a little drive around the surrounding villages. I have been through Cannigione many times so was great to park up and wonder around. It is a quaint seaside village with some lovely shops and cafes. Oh and surprise, surprise some lovely beaches.
I did try to hook up with Neil but by the time I got in touch with him, I was already back ...
Hot hot hot…
... so fast. Once I got back I dived straight into the sea – so cool that I started and ended the day with a gorgeous swim!
Tonight, the dinner conversation finally moved from curing cancer, directing Oscar nominated animated features and taking the Internet down to an A to Z of 80’s pop bands! Phew – these people are normal after all…

Settling in…
... Preventing myself from putting on a ton of weight is my biggest challenge at the moment! Mind you, I have been swimming quite a bit everyday so hopefully that will help… (Really enjoying my goggles Caro!)
After breakfast I did a half hour lesson with the little one and then pretty much chilled out on the beach for the rest of the day – read 25% of my book, and it’s a long one! Oh and of course ...
