Staying at a hotel above the yacht marina and port which is huge and has some incredibly expensive and enormous yachts and motor launches, a lot of which are covered for winter. The population is about 80,000, and it's a big tourist spot for British people apparently, and obviously a prosperous and modern city.
... of Turkish Greeks to Greece and vice versa. Many deaths occurred and people lost everything. When the Greeks Turks came they did not want to live in the village and so it was looted and abandoned. Interesting to see. After much more driving we eventually arrived at Fetihye, which is another seaside resort – this time on the Mediterranean Sea. We are staying facing the marina and it is very beautiful. ... Mark Webber. After 400 hundred lane changes, an average speed of of 140 and a couple of smokes he pulled into the departures five minutes before check in closed. Inside we felt elation as we had made it. I began to reveal my inner Mary Munro and made statements like " You bloody rippa" and "**** me that was lucky" In the process we had flown into Asia, crossed into Europe and managed to pull off the near impossible. Will never know the guys name but he saved us big time.

... up in Marmaris. Kate was picking up at this stage which was good. Marmaris was cool but didn't really feel like Turkey. They get a lot of Russians and Brits there. Lots of shops even have Russian signs on them. Weird. Did some impressive bartering and scored myself a genuine fake Armani top as well ...
