There was a gorgeous bar pitched on the perfect position to watch it but when we saw the price of the drinks we decided to head back out to sit along the brick wall, with the other peasants, where the view was equally as good.     After juggling 8 buses at the dead end of the hill top road we drove to the other end of the island to Oia. This small town featured a multitude of shops similar to the stalls found in the narrow streets of Turkey, but with less aggressive sales people and mainly blue and white items for sale.     ... I decided on the sea bass which was very delicious. We were also joking that we rented out the entire restaurant as we were the only customers and the town just seemed to be a ghost town. And of course for dessert we had to head back over to Chill Box for some more frozen yoghurt - best decision.

    ... the top. Spectacular. The island is the remainder of a volcano with a new tip of volcano emerging in the middle of the old crater ( 300 years new ). Onto boats to get to port then into a bus 11 hairpin corners up, up to drive along the island to the village Oia.     ... nothing much there- what a waste of time- so that put her conscience at ease after cancelling our trip over there!
