... island is just rock (scoria) and not so interesting. The other island (Thirasia)was a bit better – little village there and quite scenic. But it was a nice relaxing tour and not too big a walk up the volcano.

Also went around the main island a bit ( by local bus). Called into the archeological site at Akrotiri on the southern part of the main island and saw another (nameless) civilization from 3000BC. Well ...

Generally high up on a hill, this means plenty of steps, we were told just 60 so naturally I counted them, yes you are on to these people, try 100 steps. I did ask where the number 60 came from, assured that 100 will be the quoted number from now on, sure it will be. These places also have narrow streets which they were able to defend easier plus the breezes are ...

... After a few drinks at the pool bar at our hostel, we headed out to Two Brothers (recommended by the hostel). We were lucky enough to even have the hostel owner give us a lift to the bar - seriously, best hostel EVER! Holly had told us about this traditional greek bar 'activity' that her friend experienced when they came to Santorini. She told us about the greek 'Head Shot'. So of course as soon as we get to the bar I was chosen for a head shot. I got a free shot from the ...
