... yet – April 1 is what they claim. If that is the case, a WHOLE lot is going to happen in the next week. Many places are not open right now because we were ahead of the season and LOTS and LOTS of work is going on. Painting, concrete pouring, brick laying, remodeling, street repair and the list goes on and on. It didn’t bother us in the least but it would be awesome to see it in full swing.

... crowd clapped when it was over. On the the way back, we felt like we were sardines on the bus - it was so crowded!

For today - we went on a zodiac boat all suited up with wetsuits to go snorkelling again! We saw some amazing coastline of Santorini, which is jagged with volcanic rock. The little nooks that the rock created made for some cool ...

... to one of the beach shops and purchased 4 or 5 cheap little sundresses. I still feel like a polar bear in the Sahara but it helped.

I am staying just on the edge of Fira, the main town on the island, in an historic little luxury hotel made up of a cluster of buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. I had booked the smallest room because I didn’t need much space and was mostly interested in the service and ...
