Still having no idea what we were celebrating but happy to have seen it we decided to head in the opposite direction of the parade and continue our exploration. ... church and a beautiful courtyard. However, the majority of the walk was through a busy, commercial shopping area. It was cold and rainy so I did need the shops to buy some warmer clothes. Mikel, Maureen and the kids drove to Amsterdam later that day after the train they wanted to take was sold out of seats (They drive into a city where virtually no one drives). We met up at the hotel which, thankfully was near the more picturesque waterways ...

... down at a table (barrel) and met some people from Germany! After we tried a few more different beers, my favorite being Caves, we decided to call it a night. I guess I need to rewind my story a little bit here, on our way to Delirium, we walked through the Grand Place and the Winter Market which was absolutely spectacular! ... We walked around and every Monday all museum is closed. Sucks. So we have to wait till tmw. One museum was open. It was toys. Not bad and it remind me of when I was a little girl.
