Great stay ... not one of those flash over the water places ( USD$750+ a night), but a beautiful beach and great facilities and rooms. The BEST breakfast restaurant setting ever !!!!
Nice to spread out in the room ... bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen areas

One thing up front: you WILL meet a lot of honeymooners! The rooms are clean, the bungalows seemed nice and spacious (from outside) and the beach is beautiful. Unfortunately the restaurant prices are over the top (although the portions are small) and the roosters are annoying (but the hotel can't do anything truly).

All in all a solid stay, discounts are made if you go diving with the onsite dive center Scubapiti, just at least a watercooker in the basic rooms would be nice, to have at least a cup of tea or a noodle snack without having to go to the restaurants in the hotel.

The service at the reception desk is good, the restaurant staff takes their time and they are right: it's your holidays, isn't it?

This morning we had to wake up early as we were going off on a whale watching excursion! This half day trip would take us first to the sandbar within the lagoon to swim with stingrays and black tip reef sharks before heading out beyond the lagoon in search of humpback whales!

Assuming the company to be obvious from the road, we didn't bother to bring directions with us. We were just about to give up and go join another company for a different tour when a ...

... A fun, fun, fun adventure!! Dinner at 7:00p, we all met in the L'Etoile restaurant. The staff sat us quickly, and instead of leading us being to a 5 top and 4 top-----they sat at a table for 9. I was a little confused, knowing that were planning our big table tomorrow -- but tonight took me only a little off guard. The Campbells arrived a little later, in prefect time for the pouring of the first bottle of wine. In perusing the menu, we all ordered what we wanted, ...

The excitement is rising. This morning we set the alarm early because we are arriving in Moorea, the second of our three-island hop. We sailed through the night, but it was a very short trip, only 17kms from Papeete, and we woke in time to see the ship sail through the narrow passage to the anchorage point. There is no wharf in Moorea, so the ship anchored in the deep harbour and the passengers were ferried to the jetty via the ship's tender ...

          Papeete, Tahiti

I couldn't sleep last night because I was so excited about our visit to Tahiti tomorrow morning. We set the alarm so we could get up early before sunrise, and watch the ship cruise into Papeete.

We have had 4 days at sea and the weather is improving every day, and I think everyone on board is looking forward to going ashore. The next three days we will be visiting three islands of the South ...

... of the way and accepted food, strokes and cuddles. The rays with their metre long tails and the half dozen metre long black tipped sharks that swam around us, which weren't as tame, were amazing. Apparently there were bigger sharks with white tipped fins out near the reef that could be a bit suspect. Feeding time lasted maybe up to half an hour. Fascinating and well worth the 25euro price for the day. We ate our sandwich in the shade of the hut we had been allocated, and dozed off ...
