... aussi l'intention d'y acheter une bouteille de vin, mais comme les francais ne travaillent pas de midi a 14h00 nous nous sommes rive le nez sur la porte de la maison du vin.

Ensuite, nous nous sommes diriges vers la ville de Cognac, un petit detour, mais c'etait encore une fois pour une bonne cause : nous voulions parfaire nos connaissances sur la fabrication ...

... in the countryside around Bordeaux vineyard chateaux's are everywhere. Although most of the ones we past seemed to be closed we managed to lock in a bottle of Bordeaux's finest and headed off to our next camp / field with a toilet block (cant go wrong for 7 Euros) outside ...

It was a 4 mile run morning so we were up and off around 8am. It Was a hard run as the sand is defo not hard and very squishy! Your running flat out and feel like your getting nowhere! The sea was pritty flat calm today no surfers so after the run we both had a swim to cool off! After breakie and showers we headed back to the beach around midday, it was getting busy and I defo fancied my chances in the sea today.... Some great bobbing waves! ...

... at us to help us better understand the flavors combined in it. Next we stopped at another distillery for a much larger tasting, including of Pineux, which we greatly enjoyed -- though in moderation, as we were driving.

Now, we're debating whether or not to spend an extra day here to do a Master Blender tour and make our own bottle of cognac. It's expensive, though, so the likelihood is that it won't happen. Maybe next time we're in France.

Back on the road again today, our stop at Soustons was only a short one. Not too much there anyway but our stay was very pleasant all the same. Todays destination was going to be in the vicinity of Angouleme. we picked out a caravan park last night and put the co-ordinates in Basil. Just follwed his instructions until we came close to our destination. Basil took us on a scenic drive through vineyards. the roads kept getting narrower and it seemed less likely that we were ...
