... French flock to this seaside resort. The town is picturesque but the along the beach are many ugly hotels and apartments that spoil this part of town. They were especially ugly we thought, put there to house the masses. The ride became extra exciting when our guide got lost and we had to go up and down a couple of very steep dunes on the horses and ...

Today we drove south to the town of Ypres which was almost totally destroyed in WW1. It is the site of the Mennen Gate War memorial that was developed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It is quite a structure on the main road on the entrance to the city centre. The City has been totally rebuilt including the cathedral and the city buildings. In fact we enjoyed the atmosphere of the town ...

... amp; safety would mean this 'path' would not even be open to the public, must mention you don't get a guide either. Just instructions then off you go, and as an adult you get to be in charge of two children!

From here we went to Castello Naus where after a hairy drive up
to the car park we stayed for the night. Now its tourist time,
everything is open much later so we wandered around the place until the
moon appeared. Had an insane collection of ...
