    ... pretty much causing me to do a flip. My ski pole had wrapped around my pinky, and I hurt it pretty badly, I also sprained my ankle a bit, but that's it. After that incident, I was worn out and freezing cold, there was snow everywhere on me. But I skied the whole day anyway and had a blast.     The mountains surrounding us are like something from a fairy tale-- jagged topped and barren, stabbing the white sky so high above us it seems impossible. We walked 45 minutes up a steep slope to get here-- this after taking a 20 minute gondola ride and then walking along a flat trail around the mountain for an hour. And still there is more mountain ABOVE us, an imposing wall of rock so steep it seems impossible the wind wouldn't knock it over. ...

    ... it, even though it was another 1000m above us. The view all around us was incredible. The sky was so blue and the snow was so white. It was absolutely picture-perfect and it was also FREEZING.

    We stood in the famous 'glass void'. It took a little convincing for some of our family members to do it (not the boys!), but we stepped into the void which is literally a large glass box hanging on the side of the mountain, 3842m above the ground. You can see over 1000m straight down ...
