We nipped upstairs, had a drink and a light snack before heading back to the front of the ship for our departure. ... the last five kilometres into Ajaccio. The traffic was crawling. When we finally reached the centre of the city, on the waterfront, the temperature had risen to 33 degrees and we were ready for a quick lunch and an even quicker escape! However, we took a 20 minute walk along the waterfront and through the market area before leaving. We arrived at our hotel in Corte ...

... the outside of the preserve and then went in close to see all the activities first hand. The rock formations were particularly spectacular. It is huge and the magnitude of the place is unprecedented. It felt very much like being in a National Geographic documentary. It is a preserve for birds, fish and a lot of other creatures! No one is allowed to live there or fish there. Anne had binoculars for seeing birds. There weren't many of those this time but they came in ...
